Listen to October 31st [From Forthcoming Album ‘Crowhurst’] by Lay It On The Line.
i always think bands who follow a person are trying to spam their way to the top, but these dudes are actually really fucking good.
a teensy note for, well, basically everything: i have my share of vinyl and i know it’s super punk rock and all that crap to put out, but as a consumer, it’s a motherfuckng pain in the ass. much like he many spelling erros contained in this post.
also, y’all are cute as beans. if you ever make to vegas, you’ve got a place to stay.

from the department of fucking life is fucking shit - luke abbey, of the gorilla biscuits, has torn some shit in his bicep (s?). he’s auctioning off a bunch of records to help pay for the medical bills, so if you can, pick one up.

A track from our upcoming album, “Between Two Cities”.
these guys started following me today, so i was like, awesome, cos there’s like some kind of crazy music revolution happening in connecticut and upwards, i guess. now that i’m out here, i don’t hear about half the shit i would back east.
ok, so, the point is, because, you know, it’s totally my right to review this and tell you all what to think (RIGHT?) and some shit. but there are a few people who follow me who might care.
my immediate thought was, holy crap, those guitars are really nice. there are a few spots where i don’t care for the sound (i don’t know enough to say if there was a key shift or a pedal or what, but you’ll know it when you hear it). it’s just a little weird for a minute. but the overall sound and structure is good. and it makes me actually want to hear another song, rather than just putting my sensefield cd back in the player. the vocals are decent, but a little nasally - but if that’s your voice, that’s yr voice. i will say that, about 30 seconds in, i started saying, “dude, who the fuck does this remind me of? this reminds me of something, like from back in the day.” one of you smart kids’ll figure that out. i’ll just lay awake with my insomnia and think on it. might as well do something with those three hours.
now this is too long. but you should listen. it’s worth it even if you aren’t into hxc or emo or all of the five trillion subgenres that i adamantly refuse to acknowledge.

i’m about to do something radical, y’all.
i’m going through every.single.music.file and erasing the ones i don’t listen to.

in cold blood- Blood On Our Hands (by Gu6669)
should i just share videos all day? maybe. but only if i can get them all pre-2010. that’s a good range, right? (HA jk. i’m old. expect a lot of 90s shit.)
this was one of those bands that should have just blown the fuck up and… didn’t.
